You can now sign up for PS4 5.50 Beta

Playstation have announced on their blog that you can now register to be part of the upcoming 5.50 Beta.

PushSquare recently had a list of the features they would like to see in PS4’s firmware updates for 2018, including PSN Name change, better PSOne classic support, System-wide stats tracking, ability to pin your favorite games and apps (yes!), and overall performance optimization of the device.

However Sony have not disclosed yet what new features this firmware will bring. Since it’s not a major revision, I assume we shouldn’t expect much.

As always, those of you willing to hack their console should stay on as low a firmware as possible. In particular, if you’re on firmware 4.05 or lower, you can hack your PS4.
